When I was a child my parents taught me that God hears prayer. I have found this to be true in my own life receiving many answers to prayer. King David beautifully illustrates how prayer reaches God.
“In my distress I called upon the LORD
And cried unto my God;
He heard my voice out of His temple
And my cry came before Him,
even into His ears Psalm 18:6
When God delivered the Hebrews from Egyptian bondage He spoke to Moses in
Exodus 3:7:
“I have surely seen the oppression of My people who
are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of
their taskmasters; I know their sorrows.
On their journey, in the desert, the Hebrews complained. This displeased the LORD for He heard it and His anger was aroused Numbers 11:1 Numbers 12:1-15
In Genesis 4:8 we have the picture of Cain murdering his brother Abel. Cain believed no one saw him commit this heinous act. However, God asked Cain, “Where is your brother, Abel?” Cain lied. “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” Then God let Cain know He had seen the treacherous act. “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.” In Hebrew, the word “blood” is plural, "bloods." Not only was Abel’s blood crying out to God, but all the generations Abel would have produced if he had lived were also crying out.
What has God heard in all the wars men have engaged in; are engaged in? When a male soldier dies so does his progeny; unknown generations have been wiped out in the name of war.
Think of the cries God heard on September 11, 2001 as innocent people were annihilated with jet fuel. Cries unheard by the human ear; but heard in the ears of God. The tally of man's inhumanity to man is endless.
The events of today’s culture must be an abomination to the eyes of God; and a profusion of noise in His ears. This generation more than any other is without excuse. Romans 1:18-20
This generation has been blessed with religious freedom allowing all to hear the Gospel. The Holy Bible is available to everyone. Our ever changing world helps reinforce the Biblical statement that "life is but a vapor." James 4:14 We never know what tomorrow will bring us. This is one reason there is no excuse not to seek God. The judgment to come on this generation will be greater than all previous generations. The gift of freedom was given for a reason. It was given to us to assist those who have not heard of the goodness of God; His mercy in giving us His Son, Jesus Christ for our redemption from sin. John 3:16
If you are a person suffering the trauma of a past abortion there is forgiveness with the Lord. Psalm 34:18 There are people who want to help relieve the heartache and bring peace to an agonized life. http://www.beaconofhopepcc.com/
Numerous babies are aborted each year. It is this culture's way of eradicating the image of the Triune God in which the human race was created. Genesis 1:26 Doctors, nurses, and professionals may refer to a newly formed baby as blastocyst, an embryo or a fetus, but the bottom line is the little one is a triune human being with a body, a soul, and a spirit. The pre-born baby allowed to reach adulthood has the potential to bring forth more generations. Psalm102:18 When an apple is cut open the seeds are able to be counted. But, only God can tell how many apples are in one seed. God knows the generations which should have been produced by every aborted baby. They are all written in His book. Psalm 139:16
In today’s current events we have heard of the “torture” of water boarding on some of the detainees at Guantanamo. However, invading the privacy of the pre-born’s sanctuary of the womb is the height of torture. Murderers receive more news coverage than the innocent lives being destroyed daily. Please spare me the platitudes. The screaming of generations being wiped out as babies are sucked out of their mother's wombs, must be unbearable for God. The agonizing screams echo through the hallways of heaven and reverberate into His ears.
The future for our nation looks bleak. Americans will become extinct if abortions continue. It may be at some point in time America will cease to exist as a nation; being taken over by any culture which does not believe in abortion. Cain believed no one saw him murder Abel. Many believe God does not see the slaughter of the pre-born. Yet, the LORD God is very explicit in His Word, “…For I know the things that come into your mind…Ezekiel 11:5 If the Almighty knows the things that come into the mind, does He not see the belief of the heart? The action of the doctor's hands taking a life? Prayers offered on behalf of America are stifled by the blood which pollutes the land. Isaiah 1:15
It is appointed for men to die once, and after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27
The Lord is writing every thought, word, and deed, of every person, in His books. Those who speak of Him with reverence are written in His “Book of Remembrance.” Malachi 3:16-18. There are books to be opened at the Great White Throne Judgment where the works of every human being will be judged. All thoughts and motives will be laid open before a Just God. A sobering thought to say the least.
All the aborted babies have a place in God’s books. All who participated in their slaughter will answer to the Judge. Pro-abortion presidents, senators and congressmen; as well as those who voted for them will have to answer for robbing the Creator of His tiniest, most innocent human beings.
Whatever is done, whatever is said, we can be assured God is in heaven watching; He is listening. We will be held accountable as to whether we stood for life or opposed it.
The LORD is in His holy temple,
The LORD’s throne is in heaven;
His eyes behold,
His eyelids test the sons of men.
Psalm 11:4
