Early evening snow falls lightly.
Greetings ring out to those who enter church;
Reverential silence and awe fill the air
Celebrating the Savior's birth.
Wishing all a "Merry Christmas!"
Laughter and merry hearts depart towards home.
Arriving to a house warm and cozy with hot chocolate, cookies, and dreams.
My eyes fall to the manger humble and quiet,
placed beneath the tree; shining with Christmas lights.
The Son of God born to die for my sin, for the world's sin.
Hope rises in my heart, a prayer of thankfulness to God on my lips.
Soon bedtime calls. I lie awake thinking of the
Wonder of this special night, of the Savior who loves me;
The goodness of God to give His Son.
Sleep arrives without notice.
Morning wakes me with the promises of God, family and joy.
